Slow Train

{ poco a poco }

No really, I don’t like dancing

Weddings, weddings, and more weddings. After tackling TWO weddings last weekend, we’re off to yet another this weekend. This time, Veronica is actually IN it, so we’re leaving a day early. This is wedding number 3 for us, which leaves only two more. Yippee.

I pulled a pseudo-crasher stunt at the first wedding. Walked into another reception, ordered a drink from the open bar, ate some pineapples, said hello to people I didn’t know, and slipped back into our reception. It’s not quite as cool as it looks in the movies, but I can’t say it didn’t feel cool.

The new house is going well. We’re still trying to assimilate ourselves to this place. I’ve set up shop already here in the basement. My guitars now have their own room, complete with shag carpet; while the fileserver sits under the stairs with all the other computer equipment. Someday I’ll put a rack in there. Ahh, being a homeowner can be fun. I’ve already mowed the grass twice and loved every minute of it. I’m just biding my time until Veronica lets me buy that three-cylinder diesel mower of my dreams. We might need a bigger yard for that, but I can wait.

Glad you like your new place - one of these days, I’ll swing back out there.

Ok… who all has been getting hitched? I assume one was Hobbick and one was Matheny, who else?

Good to hear on the new place. Hope you guys are doing ok out there in the middle of the great cornfield that is Iowa.

There is alot of corn here, which is what keeps Veronica employed.

The first wedding was Bridget’s, the second and third were Matheny’s and Hobbick’s, and the last was Rita Strack’s. We’ve got big Al’s coming up in a few weeks and then Shipley’s later this summer.

The new place it going fine. Veronica bought paint for our bedroom. She’s quite excited.
