Slow Train

Fire and Rain

What a weekend (or lack thereof). I don’t really want to get into it, but I can be so stupid that I amaze myself sometimes. At 25, I’m still quite retarded. I had truly believed I had grown up, but I realized this weekend that I still have a long ways to go.

In other news, I missed the Tailbone Destruction Tour, which is another sad deal. It’s strange how much I want to do things like that but end up not making it. How lame of me. Then again, I still have the scars on my arm from Hardy’s cat, so perhaps it’s safer this way…

Although this is belated, I am so stoked that the Colts finally won the Super Bowl. I know I can speak for the rest of the state when I say that it’s about time! Given that most everyone around here is a Bears fan (when the Vikings aren’t playing), it was an even sweeter victory.

I’ve gotten back into playing guitar more lately. No idea why, maybe it’s the cold. Whatever it is, it feels good to be back. My old amp needs some electrical work. It sounds like the tubes are shot and the caps have dried out. Kind of like when I bought it. I need to get my bench cleaned off before I can work on it, though, which means more cleaning. Still, cleaning around here is good for my head. I can’t stand not seeing all my little projects get done around here, but I never seem to find the motivation. I’m just lazy is all. And the winter always slows me down inside and out. It gets into my head in a way I’ve never been able to grasp.

I’ve added John Mayer (yeah, that John Mayer) to my blog roll; I picked up his blog by accident and have found that he is quite entertaining to read. If I could play anything like that guy….I’d play a lot more. And maybe not work in defense contracting.

P.S. - I’m looking for addresses for the wedding, so if you want to come, send me your address!
