A few of the lights went out on my Delco radio in my ‘98 Silverado, so after seeing this page I decided to give it a shot. While I was at it, I put red LEDs behind my gauges.
The other guy’s method was to glue the LEDs in to the faceplate. I tried this at first, but soon realized that it makes much more sense to just solder the LEDs onto the board, cut a few traces, etc. It worked great. The radio looks really cool. I’m still debating the gauges, though. I think having orange needles with red gauges is the problem. Stay tuned.
As an added bonus, since the LEDs in the dash and the radio draw only a fraction of power that the hot 12V bulbs did, the headlight switch stays a lot cooler. The only drawback of all this is the inability to dim the lights (but I don’t see that as a drawback anyways). I highly recommend this to anyone looking for something different.

Veronica wanted me to write something nice about her here. I could just say she smells nice, but I’ll do this instead:
Sweet girl I love,
With laughing eyes.
I long for you, for always.
And when you're gone,
And I'm all alone,
I'll love no other, for always.
This time is short,
But love is long,
And it will last, for always.
Our two lives,
Two souls connected,
Two hearts in love, for always.
There you go. Smooch. So it’s not a poem, fine.
NOTE TO VERONICA: YES I KNOW IT DOESN’T RHYME.

Well, that’s another successful Valentine’s Day come and gone.
I tell you kids, cooking a little fettucini alfredo will get you far. And getting pretty flowers, of course.

We’ve still got all the junk we bought from the Norwegian guy in our living room. I seem to have no desire to play with any of it yet. Maybe I’m getting apathetic about computers again.
I played a super tough game of volleyball today. It’s really the one sport where I find myself being far too aggressive (or aggressive at all, really). I play with two girls who aren’t even should height to me, and I find myself running over them because they aren’t in my peripheral vision. I’m getting better, though. It’s hard to learn to trust your teammates to put the ball where they should. Breaking myself of the ‘follow the ball around’ habit has been hard, but I know I’m a much better player now than I was even in college. Hell, I’ll even try spiking now and again (and not fuck it up). I love this game. Now if I could just get that wicked underhand spin thing perfected…
